Roger B. Kennedy, Inc. Breaks Ground for Upscale Murano at Grande Lakes Apartments near Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes

ORLANDO, Fla. (July 6, 2015) - Roger B. Kennedy, Inc. broke ground for the upscale Murano at Grande Lakes apartments under its $21.8 million contract with JY-TV Associates, LLC, an affiliate of Courtelis Company in partnership with the Kislak Organization and HMG/Courtland Properties. Located at 9938 Grande Lakes Blvd. near the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes and JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes, the four-story, 240-unit project was designed by Forum Architecture & Interior Design. Construction is slated for completion in August 2016

 
 

Roger B. Kennedy, Inc. Breaks Ground for Tampa's New Haley Park Apartments

June 10, 2015

TAMPA, Fla. (June 9, 2015) – Construction manager Roger B. Kennedy, Inc. broke ground for Tampa's new Haley Park Apartments, an $8.7 million senior housing facility designed by Tampa-based BDG Architects. Developed by NVC Haley Park, Ltd., Altamonte Springs, Fla., the three-story, 80-unit project located at 13045 N. 15th Street will feature a swimming pool and outdoor gathering areas with benches, a gazebo and a dog park. Construction is slated for completion in May 2016.

Kennedy, Inc. ranks fifth largest among Orlando Business Journal’s 2015 Top Construction Cos./General Contractors, based on 2014 revenues of $66,980,000. Other key accomplishments in 2014 included its ranking among Bizjournals' "Florida Fast 100" and Orlando Business Journal’s "Fast 50" (both for the second consecutive year), plus ranking as the fifth largest construction company in Orlando Business Journal's "Golden 100" Top Privately-Held Companies.

 
 

Ron Whalen, LEED® AP, promoted to Vice President at Roger B. Kennedy, Inc.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FLA. (April 10, 2015) - Ron Whalen, LEED® AP, was promoted to Vice President at Altamonte Springs-based Roger B. Kennedy, Inc. A seasoned Florida construction veteran with 25 years of experience, Whalen joined the firm in October 2014 as Project Executive/Pre-Construction Services. He is a licensed Florida Certified General Contractor and is also a LEED® Accredited Professional as designated by the United States Green Building Council. Whalen’s executive duties include feasibility analysis, initial programming, conceptual budgeting, permitting, pre-construction, contract negotiation and administration, project management and close-out. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida, and is an active member in numerous civic and trade organizations.
